Robert “Bob” C. Krupicka, 84, of Crete, passed away Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023. in Lincoln.

Bob was born April 22, 1939, on the family farm in Saline County to Milo and Blanche (Chrastil) Krupicka. He graduated from Crete High School in 1957. He was a member of Tabor Lodge #74 for more than 75 years and a member of the Nebraska National Guard, where he was activated in 1961. 

Bob was one of the first members from Crete to join the first State FFA Band. He was employed at Crete Mills in his early years and was a farmer most of his life. Bob was a lover of music, especially polka. He played the clarinet, guitar, and harmonica, and loved to go dancing and have a red beer. 

Bob is survived by his daughters, Dawn Pieke (Omaha) and Denise Pieke with partner, Roger Shields (Billerica, Massachusetts); granddaughters, Alexis Holohan, Jordyn Holohan (Billerica) and Indigo Pieke (Omaha); brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Mary Krupicka (Crete); niece, Marilynn DeVries and husband, Branch (Roca); nephews, Mark Krupicka and wife, Julie (Omaha), and Michael Krupicka (Alameda, California); and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was Sept. 13 at Riverside Cemetery in Crete. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Nebraska Future Farmers of America Foundation in Bob’s name. Arrrangements by Kuncl Funeral Home.
