Alvin Witzke, 87, of Crete, was born into this world March 19, 1936, in Shafter, California, to Alvin and Helena Witzke.
He left this world and arrived in Heaven on Jan. 18, 2024.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; son, Doug, and wife Glee, of Crete; daughter, Jan Sorensen, and son-in-law, Curt; and daughter, Kris Saylor and son-in-law, John. He is also survived by his brother, Ed, and sister-in-law, Judy; as well as six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six nieces and three nephews.
Al declared his faith in Jesus Christ, and followed Jesus Christ from that point onward. He demonstrated that faith by living it out in his life at home, at work and at church.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Cornerstone Bible Church, 1430 Hickory Ave., in Crete.
