Albert Fred Vosika, age 82, was born Oct. 17, 1941 in Friend, to Fred Vosika and Lillie (Drevo). He passed away March 2, 2024, in Crete.
He attended Dorchester Public School and graduated Dorchester High School in 1959. Albert was a member of the Air Force and Army from 1959 to 1967. He worked for the Crete Mills for 42 years. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Kramer. On July 5, 1986, Albert married Shirley Horst at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Scribner. Their daughter, Susan Renee Vosika, was born Feb. 20, 1987.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Dorothy Kubicek; and his sister in law, Toni Vosika. Albert is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shirley, and daughter, Susan, both of Crete; brother, Loren Vosika of Philadelphia; and nephew and spouse, Brooke and Annette Vosika of Woodstock, New York.
The funeral service was March 9 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kramer. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Brave Animal Rescue (in care of Mackenzie Chapek). Arrangements by Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete.
