Kenneth Edward Fridrich passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.

Ken was born in Crete, graduated from Crete High School, served in the U.S. Military, and graduated from Doane University, where he served as president of his fraternity, Alpha Omega, president of the senior class, and served on the Doane Board of Trustees for 57 years.

His 35-year career with The Principal Financial Group resulted in many business friendships locally and nationally. He served in leadership roles including chairman, board member, president in many organizations in Omaha and Des Moines which emphasized his desire to better the lives of children and young adults.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest John; his mother, Vlasta Wanek Fridrich; brothers, Willard, Ernest John; sisters, Helen Miller, Dorothy Beekley, Maryann Reiss; and son-in-law, Ronald Dudley.

Ken is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie Rolofson Fridrich; son Brent; daughters, Jenna Dudley; Sili Jacobson (Robert); grandchildren, McKenna McDaniel (Conor), Maren Jacobson, Graham Dudley, Benjamin Dudley; many nieces, nephews, and friends far and near.

Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 8, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler Funeral Home, 7805 W. Center Rd, in Omaha. A memorial service will be Friday Oct. 9,  at 10:30 a.m. at Dundee Presbyterian Church, 5312 Underwood Ave, in Omaha. A graveside service will be at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln. Memorial contributions are suggested to Doane University for the Fridrich Scholarship Fund.
