Virginia M. Degenhardt, 89, of Lincoln, passed away Aug. 10, 2023.
She was born April 14, 1934, in Miltonvale, Kansas, to Carl and Erma (Austin) Richard. Virginia was a graduate of Mary Mount College in Salina, Kansas, and was a registered nurse for 40+ years at Gateway Vista before retiring in 1997. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Virginia is survived by her children, Daniel Degenhardt, Joan Degenhardt Krause, Alice Degenhardt, David (Susan) Degenhardt, Carol (Mike) Shuman, Richard Degenhardt, and Mary (Bobby) Breton; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Deanna Fuller and Barbara (Len) Harzman; brother-in-law, Jerry (Doris) Degenhardt; the Le family; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; parents; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Mary Richard.
A Mass of Christian Burial was Aug. 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lincoln with interment at Miltonvale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sacred Heart Church or Catholic Social Services. Arrangements by Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home in Lincoln.
