VILLAGE OF DORCHESTER, NEBRASKA NOTICE OF CREATION OF STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS AND NOTICE OF HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Chairperson and Board of the Village of Dorchester, Nebraska, have by an ordinance adopted on July 9, 2025, created the following Street Improvement District: Street Improvement District No. 2025-1 the outer boundaries of which shall include, in addition to the street to be improved, all the property abutting on such street to be improved and within which district, the following street shall be graded, constructed, and paved with 6” thick concrete as a standard width street, together with all necessary appurtenances related thereto, including grading, subgrade preparation, earthwork, paving, driveways, and fine grading: 11th Street from Jefferson Avenue to Lincoln Avenue. The parcels included in the District are legally described as follows: Lots 509-510 (Parcel No. 760038856); Lots 499-500 (Parcel No. 760038791); Lots 521-522 (Parcel No. 760038929); Lots 511 and 512 (Parcel Nos. 760038864 and 760038872); Lots 532-534 (Parcel No. 760038961); and Lots 523-528 (Parcel No. 760038937), all in the Original Town, Village of Dorchester, Saline County, Nebraska; AND Parcel No. 760054789 (DORCHESTER PRCT PT NW NE SEC 20-8-3 ICL .65 ACRE); Parcel No. 760054754 (DORCHESTER PRCT PT NE NW & NW NE SEC 20-8-3 ICL .46 ACRE); Parcel No. 760054479 (DORCHESTER PRCT PT NE NW SEC 20-8-3 ICL .49 ACRE); Parcel No. 760054703 (DORCHESTER PRCT PT NE NW SEC 20-8-3 ICL .31 ACRE & TRACT 33' X 143' OF LOT 1 BLK. 9 2ND ADDITION); Parcel No. 760041091 (Lot 3-4, Block 10, Second Addition to the Village of Dorchester); and Parcel No. 760041105 (Lots 5-6, Block 10, Second Addition to the Village of Dorchester). Notice is further given that the Chairperson and Board of the Village of Dorchester, Nebraska, have, by an ordinance adopted on July 9, 2025, created the following Street Improvement District: Street Improvement District No. 2025-2, the outer boundaries of which include, in addition to the street to be improved, all the property abutting on such street to be improved and within which district, the following street shall be graded, constructed and paved with 6” thick concrete as a standard width street, together with all necessary appurtenances related thereto, including grading, subgrade preparation, earthwork, paving, driveways, and fine grading: 12th Street from Highway 76E to 75 feet East of Sumner Avenue. The parcels included in the District are legally described as follows: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, Block of Wagner’s Replat of Second Addition, Lots 1, 2, 7, and 8, Block 12, Second Addition; Lots 1, 2, 7, and 8, Block 13, Second Addition; and Lots 1 through 10, Northview Estates Addition Replat. The parcels are identified by the following Parcel Nos.: 760147819, 760147820, 760147821, 760147822, 760147823, 760147824, 760147825, 760147826, 760147827, 760147828, 760148439, 760145919, 760139091, 760147677, 760145910, 760041253, 760041210, and 760040672. The ordinance approving the creation of said districts provides that the cost of the above improvements will be funded with a special levy of taxes on the parcels contained in the districts benefited by such improvements. If the owners of record title representing more than fifty percent of the front footage of the property directly abutting or adjoining the street to be improved in a district described above shall file with the Village Clerk written objections to the creation of the district within twenty (20) days after the first date of publication of this Notice, the improvements shall not be done in that district and the ordinance creating the district shall be repealed. If sufficient objections are not filed against the district in the time and manner aforesaid, the Chairperson and Board shall proceed to construct said improvements in the district as provided in the ordinance. Notice is given to all persons that the Chairperson and Board will meet on August 11, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the regular meeting place of the Board and will conduct a hearing to receive comments and input from the public and to confirm the existence of the required facts and conditions relative thereto for the district.
