VILLAGE OF DORCHESTER BOARD OF TRUSTEES SPECIAL MEETING MAY 23, 2023 A Special Meeting of the Village of Dorchester Board of Trustees was held May 23, 2023, at the Dorchester Community Hall, and was called to order at 5:02 p.m. Chairperson Pro-Tem Roger Miller advised those present of the Open Meetings Act. Answering Roll Call were board members, Roger Miller, Eric Bird, Sarah Wenz, and Matt Shaw. Andrea Pracheil was excused. (All motions carried are unanimous “for” unless otherwise noted). Advance notice of the meeting was posted at the Dorchester US Post Office, First State Bank, NE and Village Hall. The purpose of the meeting was a workshop of the 2021-2022 financial statement audit and consideration of summer help applications. Jennifer Busboom, Blobaum & Busboom, P.C. went over the results of the 2021-2022 Financial Statement Audit. Chairperson Pracheil arrived at 5:30 p.m. Motion by Wenz, seconded by Miller, to approve all cash transfers as specified in the management letter retroactive to September 30, 2022. Motion carried. Motion by Bird, seconded by Shaw, to declare excess funds as specified in the management letter retroactive to September 30, 2022. Motion carried. Consideration and discussion of summer help applications. Motion by Pracheil, seconded by Shaw for Miller and Bird to interview the selected candidate and offer a wage of $12.50/hr., if they see fit. Motion carried. Motion by Bird, seconded by Shaw to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:11 pm. Next regular meeting is June 5, 2023, 7:00 p.m., Community Hall.
