VILLAGE OF DORCHESTER BOARD OF TRUSTEES SPECIAL MEETING FEBRUARY 29, 2024 A Special Meeting of the Village of Dorchester Board of Trustees was held Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Farmers Cooperative meeting room, and was called to order at 6:32 p.m. following the Sparq Data training workshop. Chairperson Roger Miller advised those present of the Open Meetings Act. Answering Roll Call were board members Roger Miller, Matt Shaw, Nancy Tellez, and Tammie Lang. Sarah Wenz was excused. (All motions carried are unanimous “for” unless otherwise noted). Advance notice of the meeting was posted at the Dorchester US Post Office, First State Bank, NE and Village Hall. The purpose of the meeting was for consideration of fire department cd options, a new debit card for the Utility Superintendent, and the Bullseye Fire Sprinkler invoice, and to discuss the status of the backhoe. Discussion held on the fire department accounts. Motion by Miller, seconded by Shaw to move $350,000 from the MFO checking account to a 6-month CD, and combine the two existing DVFD CDs into one new 6-month CD. Motion carried (4-0-1). Discussion held on getting a debit card for the utility department since the old one was in M. Kasl’s name. Motion by Tellez, seconded by Lang to get a card in Roesler’s name. Motion carried (4-0-1). Consideration of invoice from Bullseye Fire Sprinkler Inc. They will need to come back and install sprinklers into the office spaces. Motion by Lang, seconded by Tellez to approve the invoice. Motion carried (4-0-1). Motion by Lang, seconded by Shaw to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 6:56 pm.
