VILLAGE OF DORCHESTER BOARD OF TRUSTEES MINUTES MARCH 10, 2025 The regular meeting of the Village of Dorchester Board of Trustees was held Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Farmers Cooperative Meeting Room, and was called to order at 7:01 p.m. Chairperson Miller advised those present of the Open Meetings Act. Answering Roll Call were board members Matt Shaw, Tammie Lang, Nate Hitchins, and Chairperson Roger Miller. Nancy Tellez was excused. Advance Notice of the meeting was posted at the Dorchester US Post Office; First State Bank, NE; Village of Dorchester office and in The Crete News. Approved Consent Agenda Items #1-#4. Motion by Miller, seconded by Shaw to move forward with the lighting on the spur. Motion carried (4-0-1). Discussion held on code compliance. Office will get a list of vacant properties to Francis. Discussion of project ideas for SSCSWMA donation. Clerk Kasl will put together a written list for Shaw to present. New business: Ordinance 2025-01 was presented for discussion: ORDINANCE NO. 2025-01 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF DORCHESTER, SALINE COUNTY, NEBRASKA, TO ESTABLISH WAGE RANGES FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE; TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND TO PROVIDE FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. Motion by Miller, seconded by Shaw to waive the 3-reading rule. Motion carried. (4-0-1). Discussion held on Ordinance 2025-01 to update the employee wage scale. Motion by Miller, seconded by Lang to approve Ordinance 2025-01 to update pay scale. Motion carried (4-0-1). Motion by Miller, seconded by Shaw, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
