VILLAGE OF DORCHESTER BOARD OF TRUSTEES MINUTES APRIL 14, 2025 The regular meeting of the Village of Dorchester Board of Trustees was held Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Farmers Cooperative Meeting Room, and was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Chairperson Miller advised those present of the Open Meetings Act. Answering Roll Call were board members Matt Shaw, Tammie Lang, Nate Hitchins, Nancy Tellez, and Chairperson Roger Miller. Unfinished business: Discussion held on open house No update on village lighting quotes. No camera quotes received yet. Jindra Irrigation can get us scheduled for the first half of May, or can wait until fall. Motion by Lang, seconded by Tellez to have them start in May. Motion carried. New business: Chief Pracheil requested funds for the fireworks show on behalf of the festival committee. Motion by Miller, seconded by Shaw to donate $10,000 for this year’s show. Motion carried. Discussion held on the memorandum of Micro-TIF from Atty. Janecek Borer. Motion by Shaw, seconded by Hitchins to direct Atty. Janecek Borer to prepare the Micro-TIF Resolution for the May meeting. Motion carried. Discussion held on developing a comprehensive plan for the village. SENDD will send out surveys on behalf of the village for free. Motion by Miller, seconded by Lang to have SENDD do the surveys as a first step. Motion carried. Motion by Miller, seconded by Tellez to table discussion on utility bill service charges. Motion carried. Consideration and discussion held on the quote for a new locator and GIS mapping tool. Motion by Lang, seconded by Hitchins to approve the quote. Motion carried. Discussion was held on the NeRWA membership renewal and annual donation. Motion by Miller, seconded by Shaw to renew our annual membership. Motion carried. Motion by Lang, seconded by Hitchins to donate an additional amount of $500. Motion carried. Discussion was held on the renewal of the Pleasant Hill Archery Club lease. Motion by Shaw, seconded by Hitchins to approve the lease. Motion carried. Discussion was held on summer help. Ad will be posted around town, on the website and marquee, and given to the school guidance counselor. Motion by Shaw, seconded by Hitchins, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
