The Friend Learning Center, a project to help address the childcare crisis in the Friend and surrounding area, is set to receive a $10,000 donation. The donation will be coming from Shirley Rohrig and her late husband Gene. Rohrig will present the check at Friend Community Healthcare System, the local hospital, at 11 a.m.
Friend Community Healthcare System has been identified as a potential site for the Friend Learning Center by their task force partnership with Communities for Kids (C4K).
