This is a synopsis of the Saline County Board of Commissioners’ June 9th, 2020, regular meeting proceedings. A complete set of the proceedings is on file in the Board of Commissioners’ Journal, is of public record in the Saline County Clerk’s office and at our website: www.co.saline.ne.us SALINE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS The regular meeting of the Saline County Board of Commissioners was called to order at 9:43 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9th, 2020, by Chairperson, Marvin A. Kohout. Present were Kohout, Russ Karpisek, Philip S. Hardenburger, Stephanie A. Krivohlavek, Commissioners, Deputy County Clerk Anita Bartels, and Saline County Attorney Tad Eickman. Present via teleconference were Janet J. Henning, Commissioner, and Administrative Assistant Tim McDermott. Notice of said meeting was posted in the County Clerk’s Office, on the Saline County Website, and published in all three county newspapers prior to the meeting, in compliance with State Statutes. Let the record show that all proceedings are electronically recorded. Kohout advised those present of the open meetings law posted at the back of the room. The Board: Approved the agenda as present; Approved the minutes of the May 26th, 2020, regular meeting; Under correspondence, heard reports of receiving the 2020-21 budget request from Blue Valley Behavioral Health, the NIRMA/NIRMA II 2020-21 Billing Statement, October 1st sales tax changes, the May 26th Crete City Council Special Meeting agenda, and the June 2nd agendas for the Crete City Council, Public Safety Committee, Parks & Recreation Committee, Legislative & Economic Development Committee, Personnel Committee and Public Works Committee; Under report of officials, heard reports of a couple of road complaints, attending a SE District NACO meeting, a report on the damage to the NACO building in Lincoln during the protests, attending a Saline County Ag Society Meeting, a meeting with Lori Moldenhauer of Aging Services, upcoming meeting with the Blue Valley Community Action, Saline County Ag Society, Region V Services and Region V Systems; Opened bids for the Courthouse and Jail Re-pointing Project. Bids were received from Hydro Tech, Inc., Lehi, UT; Masonry Construction, Inc., Bellevue, NE and Mid-Continental Restoration Company, Inc., Fort Scott, KS. The bids are to be sent to Berggren Architects for review, with his recommendation given at the next meeting; Approved Minor Sub-Division in Sec. 30-6-1.
