A complete set of the proceedings is on file in the Board of Commissioners’ Journal, is of public record in the Saline County Clerk’s office and on our website: www.co.saline.ne.us SALINE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS The regular meeting of the Saline County Board of Commissioners was called to order at 9:31 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, by Chairperson Phil Hardenburger. Present were Russ Karpisek, Stephanie A. Krivohlavek, Marvin A. Kohout, Hardenburger, Janet J. Henning, Commissioners, Deputy County Clerk Jennifer Hermsmeier, and County Attorney David Solheim. Notice of said meeting was posted in the County Clerk’s Office, on the Saline County Website, and published in all three county newspapers on July 12, 2023 in compliance with State Statutes. Let the record show that all proceedings are electronically recorded. Approved the agenda as presented; Approve the minutes of the previous meeting; Under Citizens Forum Rosalyn Schafer, Beth Schlagel, Rose Mulbery, Sarah Freeouf, Jeanie Stokebrand and Gary Veprovsky addressed the board. Hope Crisis Center, annual report and request for funds. Saline County Ag Society and Fair Board, report on the fair. Under correspondence, received an invitation to visit the Saline County Historical Society, Department of Natural Resources on Blue River water flow, an email about a Viaero Tower in Western. Under report of officials, heard reports on meetings for Tax Protest Hearings, Insurance Committee, Saline County Area Transit, Veterans Service, Saline County Historical Society, Saline and Seward County Solid Waste Management, NACO, Zoom with the Governor, County Attorney, NACO National, BVCA , Planning & Zoning, and Ag Society. Discussion was tabled on the conditional use application to obtain a Federal Firearms License at S9-T6-R2 and a Public Hearing for Condition Use Permit application. Approved the Nebraska Auditor of Public Accounts Agreement; Approved the Saline County Treasurer’s Semi-Annual Statement; The Treasurer Investment Report was reviewed. The Pledged Collateral Report was reviewed. Approved the appointment of Diann Nettifee to County Clerk; Approved the removal of Anita Bartels as signer from the Imprest Check account #xxx620 and the Clerk’s checking account #xxx494; Approved the signers of the Clerk’s checking account #xxx494 to be Diann Nettifee, Dee Drake and Jamie Woltemath; Approved the signers of the imprest checking account #xxx620 to be Phil Hardenburger, Stephane Krivohlavek, Diann Nettifee and Dee Drake; Approved the 2022 Distress Warrant Report; Approved a request to occupy Right of Way for Tallgrass Energy in Section 36-T5-R3; Approve the request to occupy Right of Way for Unite Private Networks in Section 10-T7-R4; Approved the request to occupy the Right of Way for Windstream Nebraska, LLC (Work Oder # 7150300982005-PR-16037); Approved all gravel bids as presented and opened at the June 20, 2023 meeting; Approved the crushed rock bids as presented and opened at the June 20, 2023 meeting; At 10:58 am the board Recessed; At 11:08 am the board Reconvened; John Cannon with NACO addressed the board; The Delinquent Tax list of Taxes not sold at last Treasurer’s Public Tax Sale was discussed.
