Scott Merritt Rosowski, age 54, was born in Lincoln on Oct. 14, 1971, and died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025. He attended Prescott Elementary School, Lincoln High School and Doane College. He was known to his friends as “Scotty.”
Scott loved to travel and his ashes, along with those of his dog, Forest, have now been to California and Portugal. Soon they will go to London, Maine, Puerto Rico and Pitkin, Colorado, where he spent summers over a period of 35 years. A gravestone will be placed in the Germantown Cemetery next to his mother’s in Garland.
Immediate survivors include father, James R., Professor Emeritus UNL, Garland; and brother, David William and his family, Lincoln, Omaha and Sioux City, Iowa.
A celebration of Scotty’s life will take place at the Zoo Bar in Lincoln on Sunday, Jan. 18, from 2 – 6 p.m.
