SALINE COUNTY/CRETE RAILROAD TRANSPORTATION SAFETY DISTRICT The regular meeting of the Saline County/Crete Railroad Transportation Safety District. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, by Saline County/Crete Railroad Transportation Safety District President Dale Strehle. ROLL CALL; Present were Strehle, Anthony Fitzgerald, Phil Hardenburger and Brian Pribyl. Russ Karpisek and Kyle Frans were absent. Notice of said meeting was posted in the County Clerk’s office and published in all three county newspapers on April 2, 2025, in compliance with State Statutes. Strehle advised those present of the open meetings act posted at the back of the room; Hardenburger moved to approve agenda as presented, second by Fitzgerald. Motion carried; Frans – absent Karpisek - absent Hardenburger - aye Fitzgerald - aye Pribyl – aye Strehle – aye Motion Passed; Fitzgerald moved to approve the minutes of the March 11, 2025 meeting, second by Pribyl. Motion carried; Frans – absent Karpisek – absent Fitzgerald – aye Pribyl – aye Strehle - aye Hardenburger - aye Motion Passed; CITIZENS FORUM; none; Hardenburger moved to open account at First State Bank, signers Dale Strehle, Board President and Deb Spanyers, Treasurer, Wilber, second by Fitzgerald. Motion carried; Frans – absent Karpisek – absent Pribyl - aye Strehle – aye Hardenburger - aye Fitzgerald - aye Motion Passed; Fitzgerald moved to table insurance coverage for RTSD for next meeting, second by Hardenburger. Motion carried; Frans – absent Karpisek – absent Strehle – aye Hardenburger – aye Fitzgerald - aye Pribyl - aye Motion Passed; Directors Report; RTSD insurance and watching for Grant opening for study funding. Pribyl shared BNSF contact information and possible projects; There being no further business to come before the committee, the meeting was adjourned at 6:22 p.m. The next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., in the Crete Council Chambers, Crete, NE.
