NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) proposes to reissue, with change, a Nebraska Pretreatment (NPP) permit for Crete Core Ingredients, LLC, 2220 Industrial Road, Crete, NE NPDES# NE0138746; SIC 2077 and 4222). This facility processes various meat products for the pet food industry. Process, non-process, and sanitary wastewater discharges through Outfall 001 to the Big Blue River; Segment BB1-20000 in the Big Blue River Basin via the Crete Publicly Owned Treatment Works. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet, and other public information are available for review and copying at NDEE’s Lincoln Office, 245 Fallbrook Boulevard, Suite 100, Lincoln, Nebraska 68521 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (CT), weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
