LaDonna K. Nigg, age 68, of Wilber, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, while under hospice care at The Ambassador in Lincoln.

LaDonna was born June 7, 1958, in Clarion, Iowa, to Marvin and Verlajean Nigg.

Family was the heart of LaDonna’s life. She cherished spending time with her loved ones and attending family holiday gatherings. Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, who held a very special place in her heart.

When she was younger, she enjoyed being involved in Brownies and Girl Scouts. She then discovered her love for art as a teenager. While attending high school in Denison, Iowa, she took evening art classes and received awards for her artwork. After high school, she continued her education by completing courses in the fundamentals of art and received a degree in the Study of Art.

LaDonna enjoyed traveling on semi-truck trips with her dad and held a CB call name of 'Bear'. After relocating to Colorado with her family, she loved exploring the mountains. The beauty and peacefulness of the mountains held a special place in her heart.

LaDonna had a special love for movies and music and she enjoyed collecting movies and albums. Both brought her enjoyment throughout her life.

An avid sports fan, LaDonna cheered for the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Avalanche hockey team.

Above all, LaDonna will be remembered for the love she had for her family, the memories she created, her artistic talents, and the special interests that brought her happiness throughout her life.

LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Verlajean Nigg; her sister-in-law, Barbara Nigg; and her grandson, Sean Keiner.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Dilon Nigg and Kai Keiner; grandchildren, Seven, Canyon, and Atlas; brothers, Richard Nigg of Crete, Randy Nigg of Peyton, Colorado, and Kim Nigg (Vicki) of Des Moines, Iowa; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

In keeping with LaDonna’s wishes, cremation will take place, and no funeral service will be held. Her immediate family will gather privately at a later date to celebrate her life and share memories.
