 Kathleen Ann (Earl) Tachovsky, 65, of Swanton passed away Sept. 22, 2022. She was born Aug. 16, 1957, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln to Everett and Alta (Heather) Earl. Kathleen graduated from Crete High School in 1976. On April 19, 1980, she married the love of her life, John Tachovsky, in Crete at the Methodist Church. After they married, Kathy and John resided on a piece of the Tachovsky family farm and began their family. She worked at American Tool for over 20 years and later at Nestle Purina.

Kathy’s world revolved around her family. She was very proud of and loved spending time with all of her children and grandchildren. She always said her greatest accomplishment was being a grandmother.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, John; mother and father, Alta and Everett Earl; sister, Karen Campbell; mother and father-in-law, Jean and Lester Tachovsky; and her grandparents.

Survivors include daughter, Jennifer (Lee) Burkhardt of Crete; sons, Kenneth (Becky) Tachovsky of Branson, Missouri, and Daniel (Stephanie) Tachovsky of Nebraska City; grandchildren, Kloie and Elsa Burkhardt of Crete, Brixton, Jaxon and Scarlett Tachovsky of Nebraska City, and Nicholas and Maxfield Thompson of Nebraska City; brothers-in-law, Bill Tachovsky of Beatrice and Kevin Tachovsky of Wilber; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers are Kloie and Elsa Burkhardt, Brixton, Jaxon and Scarlett Tachovsky, and Nicholas and Maxfield Thompson.

A memorial service was held Sept. 27 at Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber, with the Rev. Lila Bottolfsen officiating. Inurnment was at the Wilber Czech Cemetery.
