Notice is hereby given that Crete Cares, Inc., a Nebraska Nonprofit Corporation, has been organized under the laws of the State of Nebraska. The registered agent and registered office for service of process is Shaylene M. Smith at 1240 Ivy Ave., PO Box 272, Crete, NE 68333. The general nature of its business is to engage in the ownership and management of a public benefit corporation focusing on providing food, shelter, and utility assistance to residents within the Crete Public Schools District in times of emergency or extreme need. It shall be operated exclusively for social welfare and charitable purposes and it has authority to do any lawful business for which a nonprofit corporation may be organized under the laws of the State of Nebraska. The corporation was organized and commenced on April 4th, 2023, and it shall be perpetual, unless terminated sooner. The corporation has no members. The affairs of the company are to be conducted by a Board of Directors to be appointed by the incorporators until such time as their successor or successors are selected pursuant to the By-Laws.
