Judy Kay Cantrell of Oklahoma City passed away Feb. 1, 2026, after a short battle with cancer.
Judy was born at Crete Dec. 30, 1961. She lived eight years in Lincoln. Her family moved to a farm west of Wilber. She graduated from Wilber-Clatonia High School in 1980. She attended Kearney State, and also American University and got a double major in political science and communications.
She worked at a radio station in Pennsylvania before going to work at the Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C.
Survivors include sister, Lori Wessling, and brother-in-law, Brian of David City; brother, Steve Cantrell of Lincoln; four nephews and one niece; and her parents, Tom and Bernice, of Wilber.
A graveside service will be at a later date.
