David was a truly special man with seemingly unlimited patience and kindness. He loved his family deeply, maintained many close friendships and was a man of faith. David enjoyed sports of all kinds, playing golf with friends, hosting spur of the moment gatherings, cracking jokes and his many visits to Hartingtion, his hometown. Music was an important part of David's life, and he was extremely proud of his Norwegian heritage.
David is survived by his wife, Laurie; son, John; step-son, Mike Rodenbough and wife, April; two grandsons, Finley and Kai Rodenbough; sister, Ann Kieffer and brother-in-law Bill Brown; two nephews Dan and Doug Kieffer; and one niece, Stanna McDougal.
David was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and a nephew, Jay.
David's final years were spent dealing with the devastating progression of Alzheimer's disease. Through it all, however, his kind and loving spirit brightly shined. We rejoice in his salvation and restoration in Heaven.
