It is with sad hearts that we announce Carol Sue (Smith) Clark passed away in Aberdeen, South Dakota, on July 23, 2025, at the age of 80.
Carol moved to Aberdeen to be with Eddie about 20 years ago. She enjoyed reading, puzzle books and creating beautiful scenery pictures with colored pencils. She loved sharing her pictures with everyone.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Betty Smith; infant daughter, Annette Kaye Douglas; and brother, Kevin Smith. She is survived by her sons, Kenny Smith (Sandy), Leo Douglas (Tammy), and Mike Douglas all of Crete; her long-time partner, Eddie Kvasnicka, Eddie’s family, Tyler, Amber, Josh, and Jayden all of Aberdeen; her siblings, Linda Luis-Jordan, Lincoln, Nancy McMeen (Ed), Lincoln, Steve Smith (Sandy), Waverly, and David Smith( Sis) of Wentzville, Missouri; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Saturday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial in Lincoln. Meet at the gravesite, Section S2. Following the service, there will be lunch at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1621 Superior St., Lincoln, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
