Alma Rezac

Alma Rezac age 93, was born Aug. 29, 1928, to Frank and Emma (Stastny) Dvorak on a farm northeast of Crete in Lancaster County and passed away June 30, 2022, at the Wilber Care Center.

She attended school in Lancaster County District 144, and after that school closed, she attended school in Denton. Alma married Leonard Rezac in 1947 and the couple made their home on a farm for 40 years by Denton and in 1985 they moved to Crete. They had two sons, David and Gary, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Alma helped on the farm, worked at Russell Stover for four and one-half years, 13 years at Formfit and eight years at the Crete Hospital. While she worked at the hospital, she was named employee of the month. She enjoyed being around people and listening to polka music, dancing and being with her grandchildren. She was a member of Tabor Lodge 74.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; son, Gary; brothers, Edward and Frank Stastny; and sister, Rosie Smith. She is survived by her son, David and wife Bonnie; daughter-in-law, Sherry Rezac; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A family graveside service was July 6 at Riverside Cemetery. Her grandson, Paul Rezac led the prayer service and grandson, Daniel Rezac, read the obituary.
