The general functions include; assist the police captain, anticipate, plan, develop, organize, implement, and supervise the police patrol services of the city, supervise subordinate police officers, other employees, interns and volunteers. When necessary, fulfill the administrative and leadership duties of Captain and/or Chief in their absence. This is a full-time, hourly position, subject to shift rotation status and being recalled to duty to meet essential government needs.
