Willard A Zastrow

Willard Alvin Zastrow was born April 9, 1932, on a farm east of Cordova, to Otto and Alice (Foreman) Zastrow and passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, at Tabitha of Crete at the age of 89. 

Willard attended a country school near Cordova and served in the National Guard for eight years. He was united in marriage to Lorraine Sternberg on Feb. 24, 1957, and to this union, two sons were born, Duane and Brian. Willard farmed for his uncle and later was employed with Milton Implement and driving a truck for S&A Trucking, later becoming Noler Trucking, hauling cattle and grain to many different states. He retired in 1997 and enjoyed from time to time watching the farming operation. 

Willard was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church, Cordova.

Survivors include his son, Brian, Cordova; a brother, Robert, Lincoln; a sister-in-law, Carol Sternberg, Cordova; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine, in 2019; son, Duane, in 2004; and a sister, Shirley Reeder.

A funeral service was May 11 at St Johns Lutheran Church, Cordova, with interment in the Zastrow Cemetery at Cordova. Memorial contributions are suggested to the church or the cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.lauberfh.com.
