Wanda Sue Ahrens, 60, of Wilber, passed away Feb. 1, 2021. She was born Oct. 6, 1960, in Tecumseh, to Lola (Harms) Wentz and Robert Wentz.
Growing up on a farm, Wanda had a love for all animals, especially cats. Wanda worked in the insurance industry for more than 40 years and enjoyed spending her leisure time with family going on vacations, a favorite being Branson, Missouri, and going out to eat. Wanda spent many years doing lots of shopping with her daughter Sarah, and cheering on her son Derek at his basketball games. She enjoyed cooking dumplings and goulash for her family and she absolutely loved dark chocolate and Coors Light. Wanda always loved to have a good time getting together with family and friends and consistently went overboard when giving gifts for birthdays and holidays.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Denise; father, Robert; grandparents, Rachel and Ernest Wentz, and grandparents Herman and Alma Harms. Wanda is survived by her husband, Kevin; daughter, Sarah (Nathan) Foley; son, Derek; mother, Lola; and sisters, Loretta (Jim) Fricke and Renae (Chad) Congrove.
A Celebration of Life was Feb. 5 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilber. Memorial contributions are suggested in the care of the family for future designation. Condolences may be left for the family at www.kunclfh.com.
