Susan (Kalkwarf) Urbach was born in Crete on March 21, 1961, the daughter of Loren and Mary Ann Kalkwarf, and died Nov. 22, 2022, at the age of 61 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.
She married Mark Urbach on July 16, 1983, at Sacred Heart Church in Crete. Sue was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being outside at their home near Denton, especially in her screen room watching family enjoy the summer. Sue enjoyed fishing and making crafts. She was selfless and always doing things for others.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and brothers, Loren and Tom. Sue is survived by her husband; daughter, Ashley (Eichelberg), son, Travis, and son-in-law, Steve. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert, Barb (Petracek), Pat (Urbach), Bill, Martha (Hingst), Mary Ellen (Calkins), Dale (Spike), Mike, and Julie (Layton); as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass was Nov. 26 at Sacred Heart Church with interment at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Sacred Heart Church in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.kunclfh.com.
