Steven Robert Parker passed away Friday, April 23, 2021, in a fatal auto accident. He was 61 years young. Steve was born in Portland, Oregon, on April 6, 1960.

He lived in multiple cities while growing up, and his love for exploring the world soon outgrew even the beautiful West Coast. He and his wife, Cherie, celebrated their 25th anniversary together this past October. Steve worked at Nestle Purina for the past 23 years, most recently as BDC Lead Person.

He is survived by his wife, Cherie; mom, Florence Meek (Jim); daughters, Brittany Parker (Lafayette), Danielle Parker, and Chandra Vongchanh (Kenny); son, Shane Mares (Ali Woll); brother, Dave Parker (Hsing-Yeh); sisters, Sandy Bettencourt (Buddy) and Karen Branson (Dave); nephew, Kevin Parker; grandchildren, Jackson Jensen, Hayleigh and Olivia Peters, Brandyn Vivier, Madisyn Uribe and Crew and Thea Vongchanh. He is preceded by his mother, Carol Ann Parker (maiden name Smith); father, Robert Lee Parker; daughter, Kristen Parker; son, Tyler James Parker; and brother, Bill Grady.

A Celebration of Life was May 2. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in care of the family. Condolences may be left for the family at www.kunclfh.com.
