Robert C. Tenopir, 72, of Milliken, Colorado, went home to meet his precious Lord and Savior, passing peacefully at his home. He was born to Raymond J.Tenopir and Evalyn Zabel Tenopir in Lincoln.

Bob grew up in Crete and enjoyed spending summers helping his grandparents on their Roca farm. He attended school in Crete. Bob’s careers were carpentry and mostly building highways with contractors in Colorado, Utah and Nebraska. Bob and Christine Cooke were married in Colorado on Sept. 20, 2008. In retirement, Bob enjoyed maintaining his small acreage, caring for his horses, playing the guitar and trying out new recipes. Bob was a caring and generous person with a lot of spunk.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sisters-in-law and many other beloved aunts and uncles that helped shape his life. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Christine (Chris) Cooke; siblings, Mary Humphrey (Ken), Sue Tenopir, Rick Tenopir (Deb), Julie Stovall (Terry), Jim Tenopir (late Christine Gepte); nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Bob's memorial will be at the Berean Church in Lincoln at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5.
