Gwendolyn (Morgan) Hladky, age 94, the youngest of 10 children, was born June 26, 1926, in Myrtlewood, Alabama, to George and Annie (Freeman) Morgan and passed away April 29, 2021, at the Wilber Care Center in Wilber.
She moved to El Paso, Texas, in the mid 1950s where she met and married her husband of 41 years, Donald Hladky. They moved to Crete in 1960, where she was employed at JC Penny clothing store. She loved the southwest and she and her husband retired to Alamogordo in 2001, where she renewed old friendships and made many new ones. Her love of people was God’s gift to her. She and her husband were charter members of the Berean Church in Crete.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents; her six sisters and three brothers. Gwendolyn’s wishes were to be cremated and interred next to her husband at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas. Condolences may be left for the family at www.kunclfh.com.
