Gloria Ann Pospisil, 80, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, in Lincoln due to Covid-19.

She was born Dec. 15, 1940, to Herman and Rose (Henke) Kracke on the family farm northeast of DeWitt. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of rural Clatonia. She graduated from DeWitt High School in 1958. On Oct. 4, 1959, she was united in marriage to Elvin L. Pospisil by Pastor Herrmann at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clatonia. This marriage was blessed by God with two children, Loree and Linda. Gloria and Elvin lived west of Hallam where they farmed and raised livestock for many years. She was an organist at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Kramer for more than 30 years. She was a Sunday School teacher, Ladies Aid member and participated in choir for many years. After moving to Lincoln, she assisted as organist at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She also taught many, many students piano lessons in her home for more than 40 years. Earlier years, she enjoyed polka and square dancing. She enjoyed traveling, bunco and socializing with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold H. Henning of Lincoln; daughter, Loree J. Pospisil of Lincoln; daughter, Linda L. Pospisil of Lincoln; one sister-in law, Alice Keller Spilker of Lincoln; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Elvin L. Pospisil; sister and brother-in-law, Marion and James Spilker; brother and sister-in-law, Lovelle and Elsie Kracke; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Glen Hasenohr; brother-in-law and wife, Bennie and Marlene Pospisil; and nephew, Larry Hasenohr.

A service was Feb. 16 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or St. John’s Lutheran Church, Kramer. Condolences may be left for the family at www.kunclfh.com.
